Becoming an electrical engineer

Myself, my daughter and daughter in law have been engaged in craft weaving with Zubo since 2017 which has been a great supplement to my husband’s salary.

Before Zubo assisted us with market linkages we used to sell our products to local people and the income we realised was too low to sustain ourselves. With Zubo’s support, I was able to earn enough to help my husband to purchase building material during the construction of our modern four roomed house.

My daughter was impregnated while still at school, she gave birth to her child and went back to school – I babysit her child. I can now buy meals and clothing for my family. All the positive changes that are happening in my life have propelled other women to join the group at Zubo.

We started as a group of 20 women and are now at 68. I have learnt that through hard work and dedication, we can succeed as individuals and as a group
